  • Product Introduction

Factory floor armoured joints are an essential component in ensuring safe and efficient industrial production. These joints are specially designed to provide the necessary protection for factory floors, which are often subjected to heavy machinery, high foot traffic and all kinds of wear and tear.

How high an armoured joint do I need?

This depends on the depth of the concrete slab being poured. Typically you would choose a joint size that is 10-30mm less than the slab depth - so if your nominal slab depth is 180mm you would use a 160mm high joint.

Modular Expansion Joints

High performance steel bridge joints where the total movement gap is divided into individual gaps where expansion/contraction is ensured by a rubber V-profile connecting two steel centre beams. The centre beam ensures load bearing capacity for traffic loads and the rubber profile ensures water resistance and movement capacity.

Pedestrian Expansion Joints

The steel plate expansion joint is a mechanically sealed joint designed for bridge kerbs as well as pedestrian traffic on footbridges. It consists of a steel plate that provides a continuous surface for the user that slides over another steel plate that is inserted into the kerb surface. The elastomeric seal is mechanically locked into the cavity of the steel extrusion to prevent the ingress of water or debris. Under the steel plate, the anchors are fixed to the structural elements by the typical method of pouring high-strength concrete mortar or other elastic mortar. This armored joint system is designed to meet the movement that matches the main expansion joint, and its outer surface is conveniently treated to prevent users from tripping and slipping.

Armored Expansion Joints

Haider armored joints (correctly called "retained joint systems") have four important advantages:

1. They act as permanent formwork, forming a safe boundary or daytime joint during concrete pouring.

2. They allow the concrete slab to shrink in a controlled manner to prevent random cracks from occurring.

3. They protect the construction joints from impact damage after the building is put into use, saving repair costs.

4. They allow the load to be effectively transferred between concrete slabs, forming a stable and durable floor.
