It is because if it's special shape which is not straight like conventional it classic shaped joints. They not only help in proper load transfer between slabs but also ensure longevity of the floor.
Product Details
Armour joints are made by galvanized steel board, high strength dowel bar/board, telescopic sleeve of dowel bar/board which laser square holes on both sides, press, bent, welding then finished, easily broken plastic bolts.
The square holes on both sides of the armour joint will be position and anchoring by bent in the concrete. Then will have two metal plates on top side, to protect the edges and angle of the joints. The armour joints also can sub warehouses, then save steel cost, wood cost, and labor cost which will occurred in the concrete working.
The dowel board is welded on the sub warehouses, in the middle place of the concrete flooring, the distance of each is 50cm as normal. The plastic bolts will be broken when the concrete is finished, then it will become into the metal protection joints.
The dowel bar/board will be expansion freely in vertical and horizontal direction in the telescopic sleeve, it well meets the requests in the EN Concrete standards TR34 (move 10mm in horizontal direction, move 20mm in vertical direction).
