Q: Can steel fiber be added to ready-mix equipment?
A: Yes. The steel fibers are introduced after all other ingredients are loaded onto the truck. Set the truck mixer to feed speed and slowly add the fiber to the mixer. Mix on charge speed for about 5 minutes.
Steel fibers can also be added to aggregate batch conveyors if access is safe.

Simply mixing steel fibers into any concrete will most likely not take advantage of all the positive effects that fibers provide to the concrete. Depending on the type and amount of fibers, the concrete mix may need to be adjusted.
